At the tender age of three, sometimes even earlier, children are warmly welcomed into our Primary preschool environment. Here, they become part of a mixed-age family, providing a unique opportunity to grow into leaders during their third year.
In this proven mixed classroom concept, three-year-olds learn from their five-year-old peers, while the older children discover their roles as mentors to the younger ones. It’s a beautiful interplay of support and guidance.
The main areas of our Primary classroom encompass:
In each of these domains, you’ll find a delightful array of meticulously crafted Montessori materials, each thoughtfully tailored to meet the children at their various developmental stages.
Our lessons start with hands-on, concrete concepts, like exploring size or volume (sensorial), understanding the beauty of sounds (language), and grasping quantities (mathematics). With time, these lessons naturally progress towards more abstract ideas, such as learning words like ‘big’ and ‘small’ for size, delving into letter shapes and sounds, and navigating numerals to master mathematical operations.
Our Montessori teachers, who are specially trained, work diligently to guide children in a logical order, adapting lessons to match each child’s readiness. Every material and lesson serves multiple purposes, aiming to prepare the child for increasingly complex and enriching activities. We keenly observe the children, paying close attention to their interests and readiness to move through our thoughtfully crafted curriculum, nurturing their growth every step of the way
